THE END OF AN ERA

My baby is growing up. This past month he has graduated to a "big boy" bed. He is wearing "big boy" underwear. He is refusing to sit in his highchair and drink from sippy cups. His little face looks older and less chubby. He talks like he's an adult. He gets himself dressed in the morning and he can even put his shoes on the right feet. When we read family scriptures he sits down with his book open and says, "And it came to pass." He asked me where Heavenly Father lives. He has his own definite opinions. He teases his siblings. He's not a baby anymore.

At least he will still sit in my lap to read a book. He still takes naps. There are still lots of messes to clean up. He still wants his blanket when he gets hurt. And he still cuddles and gives great hugs and kisses. I guess I might be able to handle this growing up business.
